Preschool Story Time
Preschool Story Time is a fun activity for children of pre-kindergarten age provided by the Max Community Library. It is held twice a month from September to April at the Max Community Library, located in the Max Civic Center on Main Street in Max. During Story Time, children have a story read to them, participate in a craft activity, and have time to interact with other kids their age.
Story Time will be held at 10:30-11:00 on the fourth Monday and Tuesday of the month. The programming will be the same for both days. The date will be chosen around school holidays or any other community event to better fit the needs of the community. If you have any questions about story time dates, please call the library at 679-2263.
Max Library is happy and eager to provide Story Time for local preschoolers. It is a great way to encourage your preschooler(s) to get interested in books and reading, and to get to know other area kids. We sincerely thank you for your past participation, and hope to see your children at upcoming and future Story Time.
Max Community Library had a fantastic Summer Reading Program this summer. With a generous donation from Nathan Schneider of Quality Dirt Works we were able to purchase Kindle Fire HD 8 for all qualifying children. We began the program with 23 children and 4 teens. Our program finished on Monday July 19th with a picnic at City Hall Park with lunch, games and prizes. Of the 27 kids that signed up 19 children and 3 teens completed the requirements to qualify for the grand prizes.
